Shipping Bar support

Something not working? Let's fix it.

Start with the answers below — they cover most of what people write in about. If none of them match, we will look at your store ourselves.

Common fixes

Written for Codofaz Shipping Bar. If your problem is not here, send us your store address and what you are seeing, and we will take it from there.

The bar is not showing on my storefront

Check three things, in this order. First, the bar's status is Active, not Draft. Second, the app embed is switched on in your theme — Online Store, Customise, Theme settings, App embeds. Third, the bar's rules are not excluding you: a country, device or customer rule can hide it from your own visit. If you reinstalled the app, switch the embed off and on again, because the old reference no longer points anywhere.

The bar shows the wrong amount

Bars measure the cart either before or after discounts, and that is a setting on each bar. If your bar is set to measure after discounts, a discount code lowers the total and pushes the shopper further from the goal. Check the goal currency too: a bar set in USD on a store selling in EUR needs automatic currency turned on.

The bar does not update when I add to cart

It should, on any theme, including ones that do not announce cart changes. If yours does not, send us your store address and the theme name — this is the kind of bug we fix quickly, and we would rather hear about it than have you work around it.

The colours look wrong on my theme

Every design ships with readable colour pairings, but a custom background can undo that. The editor flags a pairing that is hard to read while you are still choosing it. If the bar clashes with a sticky header, move it to the bottom, or place it in a specific spot with the theme editor.

I want the bar somewhere other than the top

Set placement to Bottom for a fixed strip at the foot of the window, or to Manual and then drop the app block wherever you want it in Online Store, Customise.

I am moving to a new theme

Switch the app embed on in the new theme before you publish it. Your bars and settings are stored with your shop, not with the theme, so nothing needs rebuilding.

Reporting a storefront problem

Four things get an answer fastest:

  • Your store address, so we can look at the same page you are
  • The name of your theme
  • What you expected, and what appeared instead
  • A screenshot, if the problem is something you can see
